Why We Cannot Wait For Summer
Everyone I know looks forward to summer vacation. A chance to leave the ordinary behind and experience an adventure that will be talked about for years to come. For me and my family, and a thousand of our closest friends, the next week will bring one of those adventures.
At my church, we love Vacation Bible School! It is the biggest event of the year. It brings a ton of excitement to the people of the church and the community; and, it infuses energy into our Children’s Ministry that we feed off of the rest of the year.
Over the next few days, I will share with you some of the adventures that we experience, the lessons we learn and a little of what it takes to make the biggest event of the year happen.
Keep checking back all week for new posts and updates. In case you miss any, check back to this page for links to each post.

The #1 Thing A Great Leader Should Ask For
If someone said that you could ask for anything in the world, what would you ask for? Money, power, fame, peace, prosperity? Would you ask for good health, comfort, long-life, adventure, love?
Would your answer change if the person with the offer was God? I mean, God can do anything, create anything and make anything happen. If God offered to give you anything your heart desired, what would you ask for? read more
What Is Your Favorite Post?
Hey Everyone!
Now that May is over and summer has unofficially begun I thought it would be cool to go back and look at your favorite blog post that you wrote or read this Spring.
If you’re a blogger, leave a comment with a link to your favorite blog post that you wrote in March, April, or May. If you’re not a blogger, leave a comment with a link to your favorite blog post on someone else’s blog during the Spring.
My favorite post that I wrote was Jesus, Like No Other.
Some of the favorites (e.g. most read) on this site for the month of May are:
- Sometimes God Has A Different Plan
- Three Potentially Powerful Phrases
- Bad-Dream-Away-Inators
- 10 Ways To Get The Attention Of Kids
- Avoiding Unintentional Intentions
If you are having trouble narrowing the list to a favorite post, how about listing a blogger you have enjoyed reading recently?
I’m excited to read your favorites! And, thanks for joining the conversation!
